The SEAI Home Energy Upgrade grants provide financial support to help homeowners install heat pump systems and enjoy these long-term benefits. SEAI also offers funding for a Technical Assessment by an independent, SEAI-registered Technical Advisor. This assessment helps determine your home’s readiness and outlines the steps needed for a successful installation.

Who Can Apply?
Homeowners of properties built and occupied before 2011 can apply. To qualify, your home must be sufficiently insulated to ensure the heat pump performs efficiently — Solfit can help assess this as part of the process.
How much can you get?
SEAI grants are available for both the system and the required assessment:
Technical Assessment — grant available towards inspection costs
Air-to-Water Heat Pump System — up to €6,500 in support (depending on system type)
Other heat pump options — grants vary and can be confirmed during assessment
