SEAI Grants

Who Can Apply?

All homeowners, including private landlords, whose homes were built and occupied  before 2011 can apply. This is defined as the date your electricity meter was installed.

Grant funding can only be issued once per property for each type of works. This means  that any property which previously availed of wall insulation via the Better Energy  Homes scheme, or any other government scheme, cannot receive additional support for  further wall insulation works.

Before you apply

Please ensure you are familiar with the SEAI comprehensive Homeowner Application  Guide for information on how to apply for and claim cash grants with terms and  conditions.

How it Works

The SEAI offers several grants under the Better Energy Homes (BEH) Scheme for eligible homes. This scheme provides a step-by-step pathway to improving your property’s energy performance, allowing you to upgrade at your own pace and within your budget.

From insulation and heating systems to solar energy, homeowners can apply for support on a range of upgrade options.
